Just a few years ago almost every town in Wise County had its own local
bank. For one reason or another, those banks elected to sell out to other
larger regional or national chains. Even though some of the local staff
remained, they were not able to provide the level of service that they once
could. Loan decisions, policies and procedures were dictated by individuals
who do not live in our area. Sometimes customers could not find anyone
